SBI PO Prelims Exam Analysis 2019:
Today was the first day of SBI PO Prelims 2019. Aspirants appeared for the exam in great numbers and that too with great enthusiasm. It’s a dream job for most of the banking aspirants so we can expect a tough competition this year as well. This makes the analysis and review of the examination important so that students who have the exam in upcoming shifts get the gist of the pattern followed by the questions in Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and English Language sections. SBI introduced the sectional timing of 20 minutes for each section last year and this pattern will be followed this year as well.

 Quantitative Aptitude (Moderate)

The level of the Quantitative Aptitude section was moderate.  One can easily attempt questions if they have practiced well.  There were 3 sets of DIs namely:

  • Caselet DI
  • Tabular DI  + Line Graph (Boys & girls travelling in 3 buses A,B & C)
  • Pie Chart (male/female)

English Language (Easy)

The English section was of easy level. There were only 10 questions in the set of Reading Comprehension out of which 2 questions were from vocabulary (acceptance & related). The topic of RC was based on Artificial Intelligence.

Reasoning (Easy-Moderate)

The level of reasoning was also easy to moderate. There were 4 sets of puzzles and Seating Arrangement:
  • Linear Seating Arrangement  (8 people facing North/South)
  • Day Based Puzzle + box (Monday-Saturday, 8 boxes)
  • Floor-based puzzle, 10 floors, 10 people
  • Flat based (3 floors, 2 flats on each floor, 6 people)
