SBI PO Selection Process 2023
Before discussing the SBI PO Syllabus 2023 let us discuss the SBI PO Selection Process first:
- Preliminary Examination
- Mains Examination
- Interview round
All those students who will qualify for the prelims examination will be called for the mains examination, and the students who will qualify for the mains examination will be called for the interview round. It is compulsory to pass each of the Tests.
SBI PO Exam Pattern 2023
SBI PO is a three-tier recruitment process namely: Prelims, Mains, and Interviews. Changes have been formulated in the main examination of SBI PO. The preliminary exam of SBI PO is qualifying in nature and there will be no sectional cut-off. Given below is the exam pattern of the SBI PO 2023.
SBI PO Prelims Exam Pattern 2023
SBI PO Prelims Exam comprises three subjects i.e. English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. The Preliminary Examination will be an objective test of 100 marks and will be conducted online. The overall time duration will be 1 hour and separate timings will be mentioned for each section.

SBI PO Syllabus 2023: Prelims
The first stage of SBI PO recruitment is Prelims. This is just a qualifying exam and its marks are not considered for the final merit list. Prelims are 60 min and as per SBI PO Syllabus 2023 has three sections namely: Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and English Language. Each of these sections is of twenty minutes.

SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern 2023
Once again the State Bank of India has surprised the banking aspirants by making changes in the weightage of questions and marks in the SBI PO Mains exam pattern 2023. Candidates must pay special attention to it so that they can prepare as per the requirement of the exam.
SBI PO Mains Exam consists of four sections i.e. Reasoning & Computer Aptitude, Data Analysis & Interpretation, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, and English Language. The duration of the objective test will be 3 hours and separate timing will be given for each section. The overall mark mentioned for the four sections is 200. There will also be a descriptive test for 50 marks. The descriptive test will be immediately followed by the objective test. The weightage of the General Awareness section has increased in the SBI PO Mains Examination.

The complete mains exam of SBI PO will be of 250 marks for which 3 hours 30 minutes will be provided (3 hours for objective test and 30 minutes for descriptive paper). The final result is prepared by considering the Mains examination and Interview in the ratio of 75:25. Prelim is a qualifying exam and its marks are not considered.
No Sectional Cut Off
There will be no sectional cut-off for SBI PO. Candidates numbering 10 times (approx.) the number of vacancies in each category will be shortlisted for the Main Examination from the top of the merit list.

SBI PO Syllabus For Group Discussion & Interview
The final stage of SBI PO Recruitment is the GD + Interview. Candidates can check the following important points regarding SBI PO GD and PI mentioned below:
- The Group Exercise is of 20 marks and 30 marks will be allotted for the Interview.
- Candidates qualifying for Group Exercises and Interviews under the ‘OBC’ category would be required to submit an OBC certificate containing the ‘Non-Creamy Layer’ clause.
- Candidates should score minimum qualifying marks in this phase to get considered for final selection.
- The ratio of marks considered for mains and interview marks is 75:25. Hence, students cannot take this section lightly.
