SEBI Grade A Syllabus 2020: The Securities and Exchange Board of India has revised the exam pattern for the Grade Exam. SEBI is conducting the SEBI Grade A exam starting next month for both Phase 1 & Phase 2. SEBI Grade A Exam Pattern

SEBI Grade A selection procedure is a three-tier process i.e.

  • Phase I (Online Exam)
  • Phase II (Online Exam)
  • Phase III (Interview)

SEBI Grade A Phase 1 Exam Pattern:

The phase 1 exam will comprise of 2 papers. Paper 1 will be common for all the streams whereas the exam pattern of Paper 2 may vary according to various disciplines. The Phase 1 online exam will be held on 12th April 2020.

There shall be negative marking (1/4th of marks assigned to the question) for Paper 1 and Paper 2 in Phase I.
Note:

  • There shall be a cut-off of a minimum of 30% for Paper 1 (no sectional cut-off shall be there) and a cut-off of a minimum of 40% for Paper 2 in Phase I.
  • The aggregate cut-off marks in Phase I exam to be shortlisted for Phase II is 40%.

SEBI Grade A Phase 2 Exam Pattern:

The phase 2 exam will comprise of 2 papers. The paper I will consist of English (descriptive test) whereas the paper II will consist of Multiple choice questions on Specialized subject related to stream. The Phase 2 online exam will be held on 3rd May 2020.

Note:

  • The aggregate cut-off marks in Phase II exam is 40%.
  • Candidates equaling 3 times the number of vacancies shall be shortlisted, in order of merit, for Phase III i.e. the Interview.

SEBI Grade A Interview:

  • Candidate may opt for interview either in Hindi or English.
  • Weightage of marks obtained in Phase II will be 85%, while marks obtained in interview shall be given a weightage of 15%
