Section-wise Important Topics: 

With almost 2 months left in the prelims examination, there is need to look at every topic with more focus on the topics given below. Every section has a particular cut-off and so giving equal importance to each section is necessary. These topics are very relevant for prelims as well as mains. But this article is prelims specific.

English

English carries a total of 30 marks with 20 minutes duration. The important topics are:

Comprehension: 1-2 passages are asked carrying 10 marks with synonyms, antonyms, and title for the passage.

Error Spotting: Error spotting Question ranging from 5-10 are asked which make it a more scoring portion.

Phrase: At least 5 question are asked in which a candidate have to replace a highlighted word in a sentence by an appropriate phrase.

Fill in the blanks: 5question are asked in the fill in the blanks format with single or double fillers. 

Para jumbles: Rearrangement is a sure topic which can provide 4-5 marks to a student.

Cloze test: Good knowledge of grammar is needed for this topic. This carries 5-10 questions.

Sentence Formation: 5-6 questions from this topic can be expected.

Reasoning Ability

Reasoning carries 35 marks as well as questions with 20 minutes duration. Here are the most scoring topics of reasoning for IBPS Clerk 2019.

Seating arrangement & Puzzle: This topic carries 10-15 questions which can be place this topic in the highest scoring topics for reasoning. 

Coding-Decoding: 5 question from this topic is asked. Word or sentence based coding is asked in the examination.

Syllogism: This is one of the hardest section but when after practice this can be the most scoring one. It carries 5 marks question. 

Inequality: This is a scoring topic with 5-7 question in the IBPS Clerk exams. Both direct and indirect inequality is asked in the examination.

Quantitative Aptitude

Quant section has the same value as the reasoning section. However, the quants section when prepared with dedication can be aced easily. This is the most scoring section as you can have the highest probability of gaining marks in this section with daily practice. Here are some important topics:

Data interpretation: 5-10 marks DI question are fixed for IBPS Clerk examination. These days DI are gaining more importance due to its weightage in the banking examination. 

Simplification: 10 question from this topic can be expected. Practice as much as you can because this topic is scoring as well as confusing.

Quadratic Equation: 5 questions are asked from this topic. Equations are solved in order to gain values of variable.

Data sufficiency: 5-6 questions can be expected from this topic.
