June 8th and 9th were the exclusive dates when a large number of banking aspirants gave preliminary examination for the SBI probationary officer. Prelims this year were comparatively easy to moderate than last year’s examination. The reasoning was easy and English was easy to moderate and the Quantitative Aptitude was moderate. With this expected cut-off of SBI PO, 2019 prelims will fall in between 57 – 63. 
Now that prelims are over, most aspirants would want to wait for the results so that can finally set their next goal that is the mains. But we would suggest you, be optimistic and start preparing for the main examination without any further interlude. Students who are appearing for the SBI clerk examination are already preparing Quants and reasoning so, for that matter preparation will be parallel with mains. You just have to add the General Awareness in your schedule and you are killing two birds with one stone.
                                                                  
You may feel it as a burden to prepare for something that you are not even sure that if you are eligible for or not. And we would say that optimism will always bring you joy if nothing else knowledge will boost up your library, your intelligence, your mind. You’ll prepare yourselves for the upcoming examination if you study for mains. This journey of yours till you reach the goal will always have some ups and down. So have a steady brain, and surround yourself with people and stuff that are encouraging and give you that push which will help you to excel in life.

How to prepare GA section for SBI PO Mains effectively: 

Read current affairs of the last 5-6 months.
Start preparing for banking and static awareness.
Go through The Hindu review daily.
Practice daily CA quiz that is provided by bankersadda.
Watch the current affairs show that is provided on the adda247 YouTube channel.
In the SBI PO Mains exam, there will be a completely different section under the name of descriptive writing. You’ll be asked to write a letter and an essay. Considering the pattern from last year we can expect 3 options each for both essay and letter and word limit will be 150 words for each. To practice start writing a letter and an essay each day on current topics. Make yourselves familiar with the writing style of each formal, informal and letter to the editor( most asked).
