Marine Fisheries Census 2025 Goes Fully Digital with VYAS Apps

- India launched the Marine Fisheries Census (MFC) 2025, its first fully digital marine census, using the VYAS app suite and drone technology to collect real-time, geo-tagged data across 13 coastal states and UTs.
- Unveiled by Union Minister George Kurian in Kochi under the slogan “Smart Census, Smarter Fisheries,” the 45-day census (3 Nov–18 Dec 2025) covers 1.2 million fisher households and over 5,000 villages.

EPFO Launches Employees’ Enrolment Scheme 2025

- Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya launched the Employees’ Enrolment Scheme – 2025 at the 73rd EPFO Foundation Day in New Delhi.
- The scheme allows employers to voluntarily enrol employees who were excluded from EPF coverage between 1 July 2017 and 31 October 2025, regularizing past compliance under the EPF & MP Act, 1952.
- Open until 30 April 2026, it waives the employee’s share for the declared period, while employers remit their share, interest, and minimal penalties.
- The initiative promotes transparency, universal EPF inclusion, and workforce formalization, advancing the goal of “Social Security for All.”
How Ayushman Bharat Became the World’s No. 1 Health Scheme

- Ayushman Bharat–Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) has become the world’s largest public healthcare scheme, providing ₹5 lakh annual health cover per family to over 12 crore households across India.
- Since its launch in 2018, the scheme has issued 42 crore Ayushman cards, with 86 lakh senior citizens enrolled, and partnered with over 33,000 hospitals nationwide.
- It has saved beneficiaries ₹1.52 lakh crore in medical expenses, significantly reducing health-related poverty.
