• Arya Samaj marks 150 years in 2025, celebrating its legacy of social reform, Vedic revival, and nationalism since its founding by Swami Dayanand Saraswati in 1875.
• The movement emphasized “Back to the Vedas”, promoting rationalism, monotheism, and ethical living, while pioneering religious reforms like rejecting idol worship and priestly dominance, and social reforms including opposition to untouchability, child marriage, and caste discrimination, and support for women’s education and widow remarriage.

PM Modi Inaugurates Chhattisgarh Assembly on State Foundation Day

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly building and unveiled a statue of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Nava Raipur during the state’s Silver Jubilee celebrations.
• He highlighted the government’s success in reducing Maoist violence from 125 to just 3 districts and emphasized the transformation of regions like Bastar.

UIDAI Unveils ‘Aadhaar Vision 2032’ for Future Digital ID

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has launched Aadhaar Vision 2032, a futuristic roadmap to make Aadhaar more secure, intelligent, and globally competitive by integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI), Blockchain, Quantum Computing, and advanced encryption. Led by Chairperson Neelkanth Mishra and a High-Level Expert Committee of top technologists, academics, and legal experts, the initiative aligns with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.

Marine Fisheries Census 2025 Goes Fully Digital with VYAS Apps

• India launched the Marine Fisheries Census (MFC) 2025, its first fully digital marine census, using the VYAS app suite and drone technology to collect real-time, geo-tagged data across 13 coastal states and UTs.
• Unveiled by Union Minister George Kurian in Kochi under the slogan “Smart Census, Smarter Fisheries,” the 45-day census (3 Nov–18 Dec 2025) covers 1.2 million fisher households and over 5,000 villages.
• Developed by ICAR–CMFRI, the VYAS–NAV, VYAS–BHARAT, and VYAS–SUTRA apps enable digital surveys, supervision, and monitoring, ensuring faster, more accurate analytics.
• Supported by the Department of Fisheries and Fishery Survey of India, MFC 2025 marks a major step toward data-driven, climate-resilient fisheries management.

• Vice Admiral B. Sivakumar, AVSM, VSM has assumed charge as the 40th Chief of Materiel of the Indian Navy on 1 November 2025, succeeding Vice Admiral Kiran Deshmukh, AVSM, VSM.
• An alumnus of the NDA, IIT Chennai, and National Defence College, he has over 38 years of distinguished service, holding key positions in Naval Headquarters, Naval Dockyards, and HQ ATVP.
• He has served on frontline warships including INS Ranjit, Kirpan, and Akshay, and commanded INS Valsura.
• Recognized for his technical expertise and leadership in naval engineering, project management, and administration, he has been awarded the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) and Vishisht Seva Medal (VSM).

Vishvajit Sahay Appointed as Controller General of Defence Accounts

• Shri Vishvajit Sahay, a 1990-batch IDAS officer, has assumed charge as the Controller General of Defence Accounts (CGDA) on November 1, 2025.
• With over three decades of experience in defence finance and public administration, he has served in key roles including Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser (DST), Joint Secretary (Heavy Industry), and Finance Manager (Acquisition Wing, MoD).
• Within the Defence Accounts Department, he has held pivotal posts such as Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Pensions), Joint CGDA, and Special CGDA.

• The exercise focused on technology-driven, multi-domain combat, validating drone deployment, counter-UAV operations, AI-enabled command & control, and indigenous systems.
• By operating in extreme desert terrain, the drill assessed endurance, electronic warfare resilience, and joint interoperability, reinforcing India’s future-ready combat preparedness against aerial threats.

EPFO Launches Employees’ Enrolment Scheme 2025

• Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya launched the Employees’ Enrolment Scheme – 2025 at the 73rd EPFO Foundation Day in New Delhi.
• The scheme allows employers to voluntarily enrol employees who were excluded from EPF coverage between 1 July 2017 and 31 October 2025, regularizing past compliance under the EPF & MP Act, 1952.
• Open until 30 April 2026, it waives the employee’s share for the declared period, while employers remit their share, interest, and minimal penalties.
• The initiative promotes transparency, universal EPF inclusion, and workforce formalization, advancing the goal of “Social Security for All.”

How Ayushman Bharat Became the World’s No. 1 Health Scheme

• Ayushman Bharat–Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) has become the world’s largest public healthcare scheme, providing ₹5 lakh annual health cover per family to over 12 crore households across India.
• Since its launch in 2018, the scheme has issued 42 crore Ayushman cards, with 86 lakh senior citizens enrolled, and partnered with over 33,000 hospitals nationwide.
• It has saved beneficiaries ₹1.52 lakh crore in medical expenses, significantly reducing health-related poverty.
• Supported jointly by the Centre and States, AB-PMJAY is part of the larger Ayushman Bharat ecosystem, which includes Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, and the PM–Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission, advancing India’s goal of universal health coverage.
