IFSCA Grade A Eligibility Criteria

With 20 vacancies available across multiple streams, this opportunity is ideal for candidates looking to advance their careers in financial regulation, law, or technology. Applicants are required to meet specific educational and age criteria to be eligible.

Educational Qualification

There are three types of posts, and the educational qualifications are also different. All the information related to educational qualifications is given below

  • General Stream: Candidates applying under the General Stream of IFSCA Grade A 2025 must meet specific educational qualifications. They should possess a Master’s degree in disciplines such as Statistics, Economics, Commerce, Business Administration (Finance), or Econometrics. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a Master’s in Computer Applications/Information Technology is also acceptable. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce along with professional qualifications like CA, CFA, CS, or ICWA, or those holding a Bachelor’s degree in Law, are also eligible to apply under this stream.

Important Update: IFSCA Grade A has removed the minimum marks requirement for General Stream candidates (UR/EWS/OBC/SC/ST). The previous requirement of 60% for UR/EWS/OBC and 55% for SC/ST categories no longer applies.

  • Legal Stream: For the Legal Stream, candidates are required to hold an undergraduate degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university or institute.
  • Information Technology Stream: Applicants for the Information Technology Stream should have a Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science, or a Master’s degree in Computer Applications or Information Technology.

Age Limit

Applicants must meet the following age criteria as of the notification date:

Maximum Age: 30 years for general candidates.

Relaxation for Reserved Categories:

  • SC/ST: up to 35 years
  • OBC: up to 33 years
  • PwBD: up to 40 years (general), 43 years (OBC), 45 years (SC/ST)
  • Ex-servicemen: up to 35 years

IFSCA Grade A 2025 Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of three stages to evaluate candidates comprehensively:

Phase I – Online Examination: The first stage is a computer-based online examination designed to assess candidates’ knowledge and aptitude relevant to the applied stream.

Phase II – Online Examination: Candidates who clear Phase I will appear for a second online examination, which tests advanced concepts and stream-specific expertise.

IFSCA Grade A Exam Pattern 2025
