Last-Minute Tips For RBI Assistant Prelims 2020 Exam

RBI Assistant Prelims Exam Last Minute Tips: RBI is all set to roll RBI Assistant Prelims Exam on 14 and 15 February 2020. With few days left in the pocket, aspirants appearing for the exam must be looking for some last minute polishing tips to emerge in flying colors. RBI Assistant is a two stage recruitment: Prelims and Main followed by Language Proficiency Test (LPT). RBI Assistant Prelims 2020: Last Minute Tips

RBI Assistant Prelims exam is on head. RBI Assistant is not less than a challenge due to the high competition and level of difficulty. There are 3 sections in the exam with a total of 100 marks and 60 minutes duration. Here we have some tips for the student to ace the prelims exam:

Previous Year’s Paper: Go through the previous year’s paper or memory based to check the level and types of questions asked in the examination. It will also give you an idea about the examination properly. Check section-wise and overall question paper.

Numerical Ability: It carries a total of 35 questions carrying one marks each. This section is more about practice. You can score well only if you have practiced well. However, there are some scoring areas through which you can gain decent marks. Here are some of the scoring topics of Numerical Ability:

  •  Data Interpretation (DI)
  • Simplification & Approximation
  • Number Series
  • Quantity Based Problems
  • Miscellaneous Problems (Age, Percentage, Ratio, Time & Distance, Time & Work, SI, etc)

Reasoning: There is no step wise procedure for solving reasoning problems. So, if you want to ace reasoning section, you will have to learn to apply short tricks. This section also has 35 marks in total with sectional timing of around 20 minutes. Here are some scoring topics that can sail you through the exam:

  • Puzzle & Seating Arrangement
  • Syllogism
  • Coding-Decoding
  • Blood Relation
  • Direction

English: English language section carries a weightage of 30 marks and demands basic knowledge of grammar. Here are some of the important topics that you can cover in the remaining days:

  • Reading Comprehension
  • Error Spotting
  • Fillers
  • Vocabulary

Focus: This is the time when you should focus more on important areas. Prepare all the scoring topics properly and revise them accordingly.

Plan your day: Your day should be planned in a way that can utilize all your free time. You should plan the rest of your day in accordance with the scoring areas and revision.

Work on your time management: Candidates are advised to work on your time management as it is the key to succeed in the exam. RBI Assistant is an online exam that demands proper time management.

Speed and accuracy: You will have 60 minutes to cover 3 sections and you can only have to increase speed with 70-80 % accuracy. Speed is necessary in order to reach good attempts and accuracy is needed to score well.

Mock Test: Solve as many mocks as possible. Mock test helps in enhancing your speed and accuracy. Also, it is helpful in time management. Once you are done with you mock, analyze it properly to work on your weak points.

Work on your weak as well as string areas: This is the time you need to focus on working for good score rather than anything else. Work on the areas which carries good score.
