LIC AE Eligibility Criteria 2025

Age Limit (as on 01.08.2025)

• Minimum: 21 years
• Maximum: 30 years
• (Candidates must have been born between 02.08.1995 and 01.08.2004, both dates inclusive.)

Educational Qualification & Experience

• AE (Civil): B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognised university with at least 3 years’ experience in planning and execution of multi-storied building projects with full infrastructure.
• AE (Electrical): B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognised university with at least 3 years’ experience in planning and execution of multi-storied building projects with full infrastructure.

LIC AE Application Fee 2025

Payment must be made online only during the registration process. The application fee varies based on category:

• SC/ST/PwBD candidates: ₹85 + GST + transaction charges
• All other candidates: ₹700 + GST + transaction charges

The recruitment process will be conducted in three phases, followed by a medical examination.

Reasoning Ability: 35 Qs – 35 Marks – 20 mins

Total: 100 Questions – 70 Marks – 60 minutes

Mains Exam Pattern

Reasoning Ability: 30 Qs – 30 Marks – 20 mins

General/Insurance/Financial Awareness: 20 Qs – 20 Marks – 10 mins

Professional Knowledge (Objective): 50 Qs – 100 Marks – 30 mins

Professional Knowledge (Descriptive): 4 out of 6 Qs – 50 Marks – 60 mins

English Language (Descriptive- Email, Report, Precis Writing, etc.): 2 Qs – 25 Marks – 30 mins

Note: Marks of Prelims will not be counted in the final merit. Only Mains + Interview marks will determine selection.

LIC AE Salary 2025

The Assistant Engineers will receive an initial basic pay of ₹88,635/- per month in the pay scale:

₹88,635 – 4,385(14) – 1,50,025 – 4,750(4) – 1,69,025

At the minimum level, the total emoluments will be approximately ₹1,26,000/- per month in an ‘A’ Class city, inclusive of allowances like HRA and CCA. Additionally, employees are entitled to a pension, gratuity, LTC, medical benefits, accident insurance, vehicle loans, reimbursement of expenses, meal coupons, and more, making it one of the most attractive packages in the insurance sector.

LIC AE Guarantee Bond 2025

Before joining, selected candidates must sign a guarantee bond committing to serve LIC for a minimum of 4 years (including probationary period). If they fail to fulfil this condition, they must pay liquidated damages of ₹5,00,000/-. A notarised deed of indemnity must also be submitted.
