NDA government’s PM-KISAN completes two year

​Today on 24th February is second anniversary of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN). The Scheme was launched on 24th February, 2019 by PM Narendra Modi at Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. ​

​The intense behind this scheme was to increase the income of the farmers by providing them income support. Rs.6000 per year is transferred in three installments of Rs.2000 each directly into the bank accounts of the farmers. The scheme has initially coverage to income support to all small and marginal farmers’ families which holding cultivable land up to two hectares, but it was extended to all farmers families in the country irrespective of the size of their land or their family income. More than 1 lakh 10 thousand crore rupees have been transferred into the account of the farmers in 2 years. PM Modi gave speech on this 2ndanniversary of remarkable day. He said, the government of India has taken many initiatives and programs for transforming agriculture sector in last seven years, to make better irrigation to more technology, more credit support to crop insurance. He also said his government has the honor of ushering a historic increase in minimum support price (MSP)” for procurement of crops. 

The government of India is committed to double the income of farmers and ensured them with a life of dignity as well as prosperity for hardworking farmers.
