New changes in IB ACIO 2020 Notification- Latest Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The Ministry of Home Affairs will soon be conducting the IB ACIO-II examination 2020–21 to recruit 2000 officers. Candidates who are appearing for this exam must check the changes that have been made this year in the exam pattern and syllabus of the IB ACIO Examination. IB ACIO 2020 Exam: New Changes

This year the selection process is different than in previous years. Earlier the candidates had to go through 2 tiers of exams. Now in the IB ACIO Exam 2020, there will be 3 Tiers. Let us look at the three tiers which the candidates have to go through in order to qualify for the IB ACIO Recruitment 2020

• Tier- 1: 100 Questions of 100 Marks: 60 Minutes time duration.
• Tier-2: 50 Marks: 60 Minutes of time duration
• Interview Round: This is the new tier introduced this year of 50 Marks.

IB ACIO 2020: Revised Exam Pattern

Along with the selection process, the IB ACIO 2020 exam pattern for Tier-1 has also been revised. There is a new section introduced this year by the name of general studies. Earlier candidates had to attempt four sections of hundred marks for which one hour of duration was given. Now the candidates have to attempt five sections of the same marks and same time duration. Tier-1 Exam Pattern

The General Studies Section is the new section that is introduced this year, earlier this section was not in the IB ACIO- Exam schedule. Let us look at the detailed exam pattern of Tier-1 of IB ACIO 2020:

Tier-2 Exam Pattern

The tier-2 exam is descriptive in nature and carries 2 questions for 50 marks in total.

IB ACIO Grade-II Exam: Syllabus

The syllabus for IB ACIO Grade-II Exam this year Remains the same, except for the new section that is introduced this year: General Studies. Below is the detailed syllabus of Tier-1 Examination of IB ACIO-II 2020:

This Tier-2 will consist of Two sections only of 50 Marks for which the candidates were given 60 Minutes of duration:

• English Comprehension & Précis Writing
• Essay Writing: Topics from this section will be based on- Emerging Trends in India, Cultural Diversity of India, Security Threats, etc
