During the second wave of COVID, he said that efforts were made at war-footing to fight the pandemic at various levels. This is the drastic pandemic in the last 100 years’ further he added the demand for medical oxygen in the country increased unimaginably in the months of April and May. Never in the history of India has the need for medical oxygen been felt in such quantity.

PM says that New health infrastructure has been developed in 1-1.5 years by which many arrangements have been done for COVID hospitals, ventilators, oxygen cylinders Demand for Oxygen cylinders increased at a very vast level during April-May month.

PM Modi shows his gratitude to all the frontline workers and healthcare workers for serving the nation very well in these tough times.

He further informs the nation that over 23 crore vaccine doses are already given till date, and also adds that this is the Victory that India launched 2 vaccines that are Made in India. And to fight this pandemic, 7 companies are producing vaccines for the company, and among them, 3 are on the trial period. 

Research is underway into a NASAL COVID Vaccine.

Massive announcement regarding the vaccine was announced by the PM, he informed that from 21 June 2021, there will be free vaccines for all the citizens in the country and the central government will buy the vaccine and will provide it to the state government for free.

PM Modi also informed that the government will expand the ration scheme under PM Garib Kalyan Yojna till Diwali.
