RBI Assistant Recruitment 2020: RBI Assistant is the most coveted job in India. RBI Assistant official notification has been released by the Reserve Bank of India authority. As per the notification, there are a total of 926 vacancies released for the post of RBI Assistant. RBI Assistant exam will take place in two phases i.e Prelims and Mains followed by a language proficiency test which is qualifying in nature but no candidate will be given appointment if they fail to clear the LPT. This year RBI has introduced sectional timing in prelims as well. RBI Assistant apply online link will start from 23rd December and will close on 16th January 2020. Preliminary examination will take place on 14th and 15th February 2020.

What is LPT? Who are free from it?

LPT is a language proficiency test which is conducted after the mains examination to test the reading, writing and speaking skills of the candidate in the regional language of a particular state. Students who are applying from a different state will have to qualify LPT round. But if they can produce a certificate of the same that they have learnt the language in 10th or 12th as a subject, then they will be free from this test.

Changes introduced in RBI Assistant Exam Pattern

This time like other banking examination, RBI has introduced sectional timing in prelims as well. Now aspirants have to face sectional timing in both preliminary and mains examination. LPT round will also be conducted for the students applying from another state which is qualifying in nature.

RBI Assistant Vacancies 2020

According to official notification of RBI Assistant 2020, a total of 926 candidates will be selected this year for the post of Assistant in various offices of the bank in the country. RBI Assistant Vacancy are released as per the requirement in the RBI offices throughout the country.

RBI Assistant Eligibility Criteria 2020

A degree of graduation with the minimum of 50% marks from a recognized university or equivalent to it is must.

RBI Assistant Application fees 2020

1. Rs. 50 for SC/ ST/ PWD/EXS Candidates.

2. Rs. 450 for OBC/ General Candidates.

The exam will be carried in two different levels i.e Preliminary and main exam. Both will be done online only. The exam will be Objective in nature.

III. Language Proficiency Test (LPT) – The candidates provisionally shortlisted from the main on-line examination will have to undergo a language proficiency test (LPT). The language proficiency test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned as detailed below). Candidate not proficient in the Official / Local Language shall be disqualified.

Important Note:

i) The above online test/s except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi.

ii) Candidates will have to pass in each of the objective tests of the online examinations

iii) A candidate has to qualify in Preliminary Examination for appearing in Main Examination.

iv) There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests (Preliminary and Main examination). 1/4th marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
