Is there an interview for RBI Assistant?
No. The selection process is strictly based on the Main Exam score and qualifying the LPT. The Prelims marks are not counted for the final merit list.
Can I take the LPT (Language Proficiency Test) in Hindi if I apply for the Mumbai Office?
No. If you apply for the Mumbai office, the LPT will strictly be in Marathi. Even if you are a topper in the Mains exam, failing to read, write, or speak the regional language will lead to immediate disqualification.
What Is the RBI Assistant Revised Salary?
The RBI Assistant 2026 notification introduces a significant pay revision. The basic pay is now ₹29,000 per month.
Gross Monthly Emoluments: Approx. ₹58,514 (excluding HRA).
Perks & Benefits: RBI Assistants enjoy a life far beyond the salary slip. This includes 15% HRA (if not using Bank accommodation), briefcase allowance, newspaper grant, medical reimbursement for self and dependents, and concessional loans for housing or cars.
