Scoring Topics of Computer Knowledge for RBI Assistant Mains 2020 Exam?

The Reserve Bank of India will conduct the main examination for this year’s recruitment of Assistants on 22 November 2020. RBI Assistant Mains is among one of the few banking sector recruitment exams which still have a separate section for Computer Knoweldge. For the past 2 years in most of the banking sector exams, the computer knowledge or computer awareness section has been clubbed with reasoning ability section in main examination, and usually no question from computers was being asked. Since RBI Assistant Mains has a dedicated section for cimputer knowledge that will contain 40 questions for 40 marks, student must prepare for it separately. Important Topics to Study for Scoring in Computer Knowledge Section

MS Office Suit

This is the most important topic for this exam!! If you have previously appeared in a bank exam with computer knowledge/ awareness section, then you must have faced numerous questions related to MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel- all these are part of MS Office Suit. It is very important that you are well versed with the basic functioning of Word, PowerPoint and Excel as well as its shortcut keys. You must also go through the functioning of other basic softwares of MS Office Suit.

Basics of Computer Hardware, Software and Memory Unit

These can be categorised as second most important topics!! You can expect to face questions from basics of hardware and software. You must learn about different types and categories of softwares and their differences along with examples. Also go through the basics of Opertaing System to not miss anything important that can help you score marks in this exam.

Abbreviations

This is a generalised topic, as you will learn or go through the syllabus of Computer Knowledge which includes chapters like, basics of hardware and software, MS Office Suit, Networking, Basics of Computer Operations, Number System, Computer Security and knowledge about cyber attaks you will come accross various abbreviations. You must learn them and take notes of all important abbreviations from different chapters.
