SEBI Grade A exam date 2020 out for Phase 1 & Phase 2

SEBI Grade A exam dates out: Finally, after weeks of waiting, the Security and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has announced the examination dates for its Grade A exam for both Phase 1 & Phase 2. They decided to conduct the exams for Phase 1 & Phase 2 as under:

Activity	Dates
Phase – I Online Examination	January 17, 2021
Phase-II Online Examination*	February 27, 2021

Paper 2 of Phase II of Information Technology Stream shall be held separately, the details of which shall be available on the SEBI website (www.sebi.gov.in) in due course.

Previously SEBI released a circular announcing SEBI Grade A Officer Phase-1 exam being rescheduled to 4th July 2020 and the Phase-2 exam rescheduled to 23rd August 2020. They were although the tentative exam date for the time being, however now the final revised dates have been released by SEBI in their notice to 17th January 2021 and 27th February 2021 for the Phase 1 & phase 2 exams.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India kept in mind the ongoing pandemic situation in the nation and made the respective changes in the exam dates accordingly.

Further, in reference to the advertisement dated March 07, 2020, the following
additions/modifications/clarification were mentioned by SEBI :

1. 2 vacancies shown as reserved for “Autism/ intellectual disability/ specific
learning disability/mental illness” may be read as reserved for “Autism/
intellectual disability/ specific learning disability/mental illness/multiple
disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d) including deaf –
blindness” under the column “PwBD” category w.r.t General Stream.
2. Paper 2 of Phase II examination for Information Technology Stream shall be the Coding test. The maximum marks, cut-off, and weightage for Paper 2 of Phase II for Information Technology Stream shall be the same as applicable for other streams which are mentioned in the advertisement dated March 07, 2020.
