Success Story of Jatothu Chinna Selected as IBPS Clerk in Union Bank of India

Hello Everyone,

I am JATOTHU CHINNA, I am from Telangana. I recently got selected as a Clerk in the Union Bank of India. I started preparing for bank exams in the year 2017. For one year I appeared in a few exams without proper preparation and strategy. I failed in prelims itself.

 Later I realized this is not the correct way to crack the bank job. I analyzed all the previous papers and memory-based paper(Adda247) and noted down which topics are frequent and carried maximum marks in the exams. Accordingly, I started my preparation clearing the basics. The most important factor in these exams is Time Management, it is very important and to implement it during your practice. I take a lot of mock tests and analyzed that.   

For one year I cleared all the prelims I appeared but failed in mains. I practice enough but my presentation during the exam was not satisfactory. I thought accuracy was more important and attempted less number of questions which I was pretty confident in mains. This made me fail me in mains with a close margin. Then my friend Mr.Pavan Kumar(RRB PO) who guided me for my preparation suggested that the number of attempts also matter a lot. It is not just by mear guessing but few questions which you are confused between two options also can be answered taking a little risk. As these days cut-offs are high attempting only 50-60 percent of paper is not good an idea.

My attempts in 2017:- I couldn’t clear prelims.           

In 2018:- I cleared prelims but failed in mains by a close margin

• ✓RRB Po pre-cleared but Couldn’t clear section.
• ✓IBPS clerk mains lost by 0.25 in the English section.
• ✓SBI clerk mains lost by 3 marks.✓LIC AAO mains lost by a few marks
• ✓LIC ADO mains lost by a few marks etc.,

In 2019:- 

• ✓EPFO SSA mains lost ✓RRB PO mains lost by 0.25 in English 
• ✓RRB Clerk mains failed by a few marks.
• ✓LIC asst.mains result not released.
• ✓IBPS clerk mains cleared (Union Bank of India)
• ✓SBI clerk result not released etc.

For clerk mains, I attempted mocks from the Adda247 test series and analyzed them thoroughly. For the GK section what I did is I write daily GK and also I referred adda247 GK capsule which is more than enough.

Finally, what I say is not only your preparation but also your presence of mind during the exam is most Through practice, one must understand questions to be answered and left.
