Success Story of Sirisha Upadhyayula Selected as IBPS Clerk in Andhra Bank

Hi Everyone,

I am Sirisha Upadhyayula, from Andhra Pradesh. I recently got selected as a clerk in ANDHRA BANK. I completed my graduation in 2017 and started preparing for competitive exams the same year.

For one year I appeared in a few exams without proper preparation and strategy. I failed in prelims itself. Later I realized this is not the correct way and started with a proper strategy. I analyzed all the previous papers and noted down which topics are frequent and carried maximum marks in the exams. Accordingly, I started my preparation clearing the basics. The most important factor in these exams is TIME MANAGEMENT, so it is very important and to implement it during your practice. I take a lot of mock tests and analyzed that.

For one year I cleared all the prelims I appeared but failed in mains. I practiced enough but my presentation during the exam was not satisfactory. I thought accuracy was more important and attempted less number of questions which I was pretty confident in mains. This made me fail in mains with a close margin. My sir Mr. Srikar who guided me for my preparation suggested that the number of attempts also matter a lot. It is not just by mear guessing but few questions which you are confused between two options also can be answered taking a little risk.

As these days cut-offs are high attempting only 50-60 percent of paper It is not a good idea. For clerk mains, I attempted mocks from the Adda247 test series and analyzed them thoroughly. I referred Adda247 GK capsule, Hindu reviews, and current affairs.

Finally, what I say is not only your preparation but your presence of mind during the exam is most important. Through practice, one must understand questions to be answered and left. I would like to thank my family and my sir for having faith in me and supporting me.
