What are Thumb Impressions and Handwritten Declarations in IBPS?

What are Thumb Impression and Handwritten Declarations in IBPS

Handwritten Declarations: This needs to be written by candidates in their handwriting in English only. As well candidates have to write it on white paper with black ink. If the declaration is written in other languages or anybody else’s writing the application will be considered invalid. The declaration file should be in jpg/jpeg format between 50kb to 100kb.

What is the use of the Handwritten Declaration?
By uploading the hand declarations, candidates sign the declarations and declare that the above-given information is correct, valid.

Thumb Impressions: The thumb impression in the IBPS should be of the left thumb. Same as the handwritten declarations, the thumb impression should be also on white paper with black or blue ink. The thumb impression should only be of the candidate who is applying for the recruitment. If the thumb impression will be of anyone else’s the application form will be considered invalid. The impression file as well should be in jpg/jpeg format and between 20kb to 50kb

What is the use of Thumb Impression?
When the candidates are shortlisted for the final merit lists, they are called for document verification, at that time biometric verification is done by the IBPS. In case of any mismatch, the application will be considered invalid.
