Detailed Eligibility for IBPS RRB 2025
A candidate must fulfil all the eligibility criteria for RRB posts set by the IBPS to successfully take up employment in Regional Rural Banks.
1. Nationality / Citizenship
Candidates must be
- A citizen of India, or
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962, or
- A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, etc.
2. Age Limit (as on cut-off date in notification)
- Office Assistant (Multipurpose): 18 – 28 years
- Officer Scale I (Assistant Manager): 18 – 30 years
- Officer Scale II (Manager): 21 – 32 years
- Officer Scale III (Senior Manager): 21 – 40 years
Age relaxations apply for SC/ST, OBC, PwD, Ex-servicemen, and other reserved categories.

3. Educational Qualification
- Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Proficiency in the local language is mandatory.
- Officer Scale I: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; preference for Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, etc.
Officer Scale II (General Banking Officer): Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks + 2 years experience. - Officer Scale II (Specialist Officer): Degree in specialised field (Law, IT, CA, MBA Finance, etc.) + 1–2 years experience.
- Officer Scale III: Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks + 5 years experience.
4. Language Proficiency
Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state/UT where the RRB is located. Proficiency will be tested at the time of selection.
