Subhash Chandra Bose is one of the most prominent freedom fighters of India. He was a charismatic influencer of the youth and earned the sobriquet ‘Netaji’ by founding and commanding the Indian National Army (INA) while India was fighting for its independence. He always had a different ideology and this was the reason why he was ousted from the Indian National Congress. He sought support from Nazi power in Germany and Imperial forces in Japan during the World War II, to make India free from Britishers.
Subhas Chandra Bose was born on January 23, 1897, in Cuttack district of Orissa. He was a student of philosophy and founded Swaraj Party after being ousted from the Indian National Congress in the year 1922. His patriotism has left behind a great impact on the nation. His slogan “Jai Hind” is still considered of a great importance when it comes to showing one’s patriotism towards the country. Subhash Chandra Bose was a socialist and was greatly inspired by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
Netaji’s sudden disappearance in the year 1945, made the evidence of his survival a question mark. The government of India set up a number of committees to investigate the case because of the mystery enclosing the circumstances of his death. He is believed to have died in Taiwan in 1945, reportedly due to an air crash. However, he left behind a legacy that has encouraged generations of young Indians over the years. His role in the freedom movement will always be honored by the nation.

“Life loses half its interest if there is no struggle, if there are no risks to be taken.”
-S.C. Bose
