Last Minute Tips For IBPS PO Mains

The IBPS PO mains exam 2018 is scheduled to be held on November 18 and with just a few days left, candidates need to give the best of their abilities in the upcoming exam. Candidates aspiring to be selected as probationary officers in the Nationalised banks need to work with a focused strategy to sail through the exam. IBPS PO Mains will not be an easy task but if one works with a proper strategy then he /she can fulfill his/her dream of becoming a Probationary Officer.

The first and foremost thing is that you should believe in yourself that you can do it. Half the work is done here. Next, the countdown has started and now you don’t have a single second to waste. Your task is to give your best in this stipulated time and keep everything else aside. 

In these few days, don’t keep on practicing only the subject in which you are weak at. Your aim is to score well so focus on your strengths so that you do not miss anything in the subject in which you have good command. Also, practice your weak subjects so that you do not miss in the sectional cutoffs. 

Now here are some important tips and tricks for preparation and revision, which one must pay attention to before appearing for IBPS PO Mains Exam. 
  • Know the Exam Pattern and Plan a Strategy: At this point of time, many of you must be knowing the pattern for the exam.  It is very important to know the exam pattern and the sectional timing of each section. You have to plan a strategy to attempt a certain number of questions in the stipulated amount of time. The exam might be tough or moderate and the attempts may vary accordingly. But you should go into the exam with your own strategy to attempt the number of questions in the exams as per your own strengths and weaknesses. 
  • English Language: English section is considered a tough section when we talk about the IBPS Exams. You must attempt those questions in which you are sure about and making random guesses will not help you in this section. Avoid guessing answers and attempt questions with utmost accuracy.
  • Reasoning and Computer Aptitude: Reasoning is an onerous section in this exam. You must attempt the questions and puzzles carefully. The questions will be time taking but if you are able to crack the puzzles correctly then you will be able to attempt the questions with 100% accuracy. You have to be careful with your accuracy in this exam. 
  • Data Analysis & Interpretation: This section might be tough, very tough or moderate. The only thing you must remember is that do not panic and attempt as many questions possible with utmost accuracy. Do not make guesses. Try to be accurate. 
  • General Awareness/ Banking Awareness/Static Awareness: This section plays a very crucial role in your selection. If you have studied this portion properly then you can easily attempt a good number of questions to clear the cutoff. You must prepare the current affairs of at least 5-6 months thoroughly. You cannot master current affairs in a single day. You have to keep revising them regularly.
  • Do Not Panic: You must be calm, composed and confident before you appear for the exam. Even if the exam paper turns out to be very difficult, you must not panic and attempt as many questions as you are able to attempt with good accuracy. 
Leave no stone unturned and give your best. Give your best in these few days and relax one day before the Exam. You can read current affairs one day before the exam but try not to stress yourself. Last but not least, believe in yourself and stay confident.
