RBI Grade-B 2018 Recruitment: Details about Exam Pattern

Finally, the biggest of all banking exam in terms of remuneration, position, and competition “THE RBI GRADE B” is here. This is the dream job for all banking aspirants but sailing through this fiery ocean is not going to be a facile task. This time the competition is not unchallenging as the warriors standing in front of you had already proved themselves in the battlefield and they are ready to fight again as this exam is what leads you to glory. And the last standing gladiators are those who are going to write the freedom from all future banking exams.
Discussing the exam pattern and syllabus, RBI grade B has a difference than all other banking exams. RBI Grade B exam is conducted in three phases.
The detailed pattern of the three phases is as follows:
Phase I: The phase I Examination will be an online Examination (Objective Type) and will comprise a single Paper for 200 marks. The Paper will consist tests of
  • General Awareness
  • English Language
  • Quantitative Aptitude and;
  • Reasoning
A composite time of 120 minutes will be given for answering.
Phase II: The phase II level exam consists of three papers.
You can see Phase I is something you are in habit of doing like this is something you face in each and every banking exams but Phase II is something that requires special, focused and strategical preparation. You need to prepare for these three papers very seriously as the competition is going to be really tough and this syllabus is quite different from other banking exams.
Paper I will be an Objective type paper of Economic and social Issues. You need to prepare this subject covering all the topics based on this.
Paper II will be a Descriptive Paper of English. You need to have good English writing skills to get through this paper.
Paper III will be an Objective type paper of Finance and Management which needs a thorough preparation too.
Phase III: This will be the final Interview round. Candidates will be shortlisted for the interview, based on aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III). Interview will be of 50 marks. Candidate may opt for interview either in Hindi or English. Final Selection will be made through merit list which will be prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II examination and interview.
This exam will not be an easy task and one need to give the best of his efforts to get through. But the tougher it seems, the more lucrative it will be in the future.
So, just load your bow, stretch up your arm, prepare your self to aim and hit the target.
