  • The award ceremony will take place at the Corporate Park in the Kharghar area of Navi Mumbai, and a large event is being planned for it, as announced by Shinde after a high-level preparation meeting held in Raigad.

2. EAM S Jaishankar launches ‘Tulsi Ghat Restoration Project’ in Uganda

  • He commended the Overseas Friends of BJP-Uganda for their efforts to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the oldest inhabited city in the world. Uganda has been selected to chair the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) for the period of 2022 to 2025 on behalf of Africa.
  • The chairmanship of the movement rotates every three years during summit conferences and is assisted by both the previous and incoming chairs, representing the movement’s past, present, and future.

3. Maharashtra: Savarkar’s Birth Anniversary To Be Celebrated As ‘Swatantrya Veer Gaurav Din’

6. Greek-Indian Air Forces To Conduct Massive Joint Exercise Over Mediterranean Sea

  • India’s gold imports have declined by about 30% to $31.8 billion during April-February 2023, compared to the same period in the previous year, according to data from the country’s commerce ministry.
  • The decline in gold imports is attributed to several factors, including high customs duty and global economic uncertainties.
  • The decline in India’s gold imports by about 30% to $31.8 billion during April-February 2023 has not helped in narrowing the country’s trade deficit, which was estimated at $247.52 billion for the same period, compared to $172.53 billion in the year-ago period.

8. IMF cuts India’s FY24 GDP forecast to 5.9%

  • The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has revised India’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth forecast for the financial year 2023-24, lowering it by 20 basis points to 5.9 percent.
  • This latest forecast is slightly below the Reserve Bank of India’s projection of 6.4 percent. Despite the downward revision, India is still projected to be the fastest-growing major economy in the world.
  • The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has recently released its World Economic Outlook report, in which it has revised its forecast for India’s retail inflation and growth rate for the fiscal year 2024-25.
  • The IMF now expects India’s retail inflation to be at 4.9% for the fiscal year 2023-24 and 4.4% for the fiscal year 2024-25.

9. Asian Development Bank Commits Rs 150 Crore To Tata Power Delhi Distribution
