IBPS PO 2020: Exam Pattern
IBPS is a three stage recruitment process which includes: Prelims, Mains and Interview stages. Prelims is just qualifying in nature while the marks obtained in Mains stage are considered while preparing the final list. Prelims is an hour long exam and has only three sections namely: Reasoning ability, English Language and Quantitative Aptitude while in Mains the number of section increases to five as General Awareness and Descriptive Writing also take place. IBPS PO Main Exam Pattern 2020
The IBPS PO exam pattern for the Main exam consists of four different sections namely, Reasoning, English, Quant and general awareness which is further followed by a descriptive test. One has to clear the objective as well as descriptive test to get selected for the final round of selection i.e interview phase. This is the last stage of this recruitment process. The marks of Interview and Mains are considered for final selection of the candidate. Candidates are require to go through the current affairs and Static GK to ace this along with good communication skills.
The ratio of Mains and Interview is 80:20. Mains carry a lot of weightage so if you think you will not be able to perform well in Interview, make sure to work hard for Mains exam.
