In the LIC Assistant Main exam, there is a slightly different exam pattern than other banking and insurance sector exams. There are two types of exam pattern, one with the additional subject of Hindi language and other with Non-Hindi language pattern but the number of questions in other section are more comparatively. The Reasoning Ability section in LIC Assistant main 2019 consisted of 40 questions of 1 mark each. There were 4 sets of Puzzles & Seating Arrangement. Overall the level of reasoning section was Moderate. Types of puzzles asked:

This section had 40 questions of 1 marks each. Most of the questions in this section were asked from contemporary events of national & international events from the months of October-November.
