RBI Grade B 2019
RBI is all set to conduct the RBI Grade B Phase 2 Exam at 20 exam center in almost all the states. RBI has already conducted RBI Grade B Phase 1 in almost 150 cities covering almost every state of the nation on 9th November 2019. RBI Grade B is the most lucrative service among all the banking examination. RBI recruits eligible candidates for the post of RBI Grade B every year. The post of (General), (DEPR) & (DSIM) comes under Grade B services. Unlike other banking examination, the level of RBI Grade B Exam is distinctly high with a major focus on General Awareness. It is deliberated as one of the most respected jobs in India.
RBI Grade B Phase-2
RBI Grade B mains exam is scheduled to be held on 1st and 2nd December for different posts. Recently RBI released its result for the preliminary exam. Now Admit card for the phase 2 will be released soon now. Those who have been called for the RBI Grade B mains can now download their call letter. Final merit list will be drawn on the basis of the marks obtained in mains and interview round. Interview is the final round in the RBI Grade B recruitment process. The exam is usually of moderate to difficult level. A number of students are appearing for the mains round for RBI Grade B Mains exam.

RBI Grade-B Exam Dates 2019
Exam dates of the RBI Grade B exam are announced by the recruiting body. The preliminary examination was held on 9th November 2019. The examination level was of Easy-Moderate level. RBI Officers (Grade-B) Vacancies 2019
The number of vacancies for the post of RBI Grade-B 2019 is 199. Willing students can fill te application form for the preferred post. In the year 2018, the total number of vacancies was 166. Complete details of RBI Grade B 2019 vacancies are given in the table below:

RBI Officers (Grade-B) 2019 Exam Centers
Examination centers for RBI Officers (Grade-B) examinations are there in almost 29 States and Union Territories. Students can choose the examination center according to their relevance for preliminary examination. For mains, number of Centre are limited and will be given allowed by the recruiting body only.
RBI Officers (Grade-B) Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria includes Age limit and Educational Qualification. For RBI Officers (Grade-B) 2018 examination, the lower and upper age limits were 21 years and 30 years respectively as on 1st September 2019 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd September 1989 and not later than 1st September 1998.You can check the detailed eligibility criteria here.
Educational Qualification: A minimum of aggregate 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PWD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th standard examinations for Grade ‘B’ (General). Complete details are mentioned in the table below.

|A minimum of 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PwBD) or an equivalent grade in Bachelor’s degree as well as in 12th (or Diploma or equivalent) and 10th Standard examinations.
The minimum qualifying percentage or an equivalent grade for the Bachelor’s degree will be in aggregate for all semesters / years.

Grade ‘B’ (DR)
a. A Master’s Degree in Economics / Econometrics / Quantitative Economics / Mathematical Economics / Integrated Economics Course/ Finance, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognised Indian or Foreign University /Institute; OR
b. PGDM/ MBA Finance with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University /Institute; OR
c. Master’s Degree in Economics in any of the sub-categories of economics i.e. agricultural/ business/ developmental/ applied, etc., with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters /years from a recognized Indian or Foreign University /Institute.
Note: SC, ST and PwBD candidates having second class with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years in Master’s Degree examination or equivalent recognized qualifications are eligible to apply.
Desirable: A Doctorate Degree in Economics or research or teaching experience in Economics or publications in standard journals would be considered as an additional qualification.
Candidates having M.Phil. Degree and Doctorate Degree from a recognized Indian/Foreign University/Institute in the specified subjects will be eligible for relaxation in the upper age limit by 2 years and 4 years respectively.
d. (i) Candidates having Master’s Degree with Research/Teaching experience at a recognized Indian/Foreign University/ Institute will be eligible for relaxation in upper age limit to the extent of number of years of such experience subject to a maximum of three years. For experience, probationary period will not be reckoned.
(ii) The above age relaxations will not be cumulatively available with age relaxations available to various categories as mentioned in Para 3 II (b) above.
|3. Officers in
(DR) – DSIM
a. A Master’s Degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Mathematical Economics/ Econometrics/ Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Kharagpur/ Applied Statistics & Informatics from IIT-Bombay with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years; OR
b. Master’s Degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters / years and one year post graduate diploma in Statistics or related subjects from an Institute of repute; OR
c. M. Stat. Degree of Indian Statistical Institute with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate of all semesters / years; OR
d. Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Calcutta with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/years.
Note: For SC, ST and PwBD candidates, the minimum marks required in Master’s Degree as in items (a), (b), (c) and (d) above is 50% or an equivalent grade in aggregate of all semesters/ years.
Desirable: (i) Candidates with a Doctorate in topics related to above subjects will be given preference. (ii) Research or teaching experience and publication in standard journals will be considered as an additional qualification.
Note: (i) Candidates possessing M.Phil. and Ph.D qualification in the specified subjects will be eligible for relaxation in upper age limit by 2 years and 4 years respectively.
(ii) Candidates with research / teaching experience at a recognized Indian / Foreign University/Institute will be eligible for relaxation in upper age limit to the extent of

The application fee of RBI Officers (Grade-B) 2019 examination:

RBI Officers (Grade-B) 2019 Exam Pattern
Preliminary Examination (200 Marks): The Paper consists tests of
(i) General Awareness
(ii) English Language
(iii) Quantitative Aptitude
(iv) Reasoning, which are to be attempted in a composite time of 120 minutes.
However, separate time will be allotted for each test. Other detailed information regarding the examination will be given in an Information Handout.

Interview (50 marks): Candidates are shortlisted for the personal interview round based on an aggregate of marks obtained in Phase-II (Paper-I +Paper-II +Paper-III). Candidates are given the option to opt for interview either in Hindi or English. Final Selection is done through merit list which is prepared by adding marks secured by candidates in Phase-II examination and interview.
The penalty for Wrong Answers (Applicable to both – Preliminary and Main examination)
There is a penalty for wrong answers marked in the Online Objective Tests. For each wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question is deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. No marks are deducted for un-attempted questions.
