SSC CGL Tier-I 2017 Exam Analysis 6th August Slot-1

SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1 Exam is scheduled from 5th August to 24th August 2017. As the first slot of 6th August of SSC CGL 2017 Tier-1 examination is over, it is time for the much-awaited Exam Analysis of SSC CGL Tier-1 2017 Exam. The Exam  Analysis will give candidates a clear idea of the difficulty level of SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam and a fair knowledge of the number of good attempts required to scale SSC CGL 2017 Exam. The entire Tier-1 exam has to be completed within 60 minutes time frame.

The overall level of the first slot of the 6th August, SSC  CGL 2017 Tier-1 Exam was Moderate with a bit of twist and turn in the English Language Section and Reasoning. These twist and turn was more like few additions in the types of questions asked by SSC. These were not diffiult to answer at all, but students would have to invest few extra seconds in order to attempt these types of questions.

General Intelligence

In SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam 2017 the questions of General Intelligence(Reasoning) were quite easy. The topic wise distribution of the reasoning section has been provided below. Students can have a fair idea of what SSC had been upto in terms of these questions. As per the inputs shared by students, this was the easiest among all the other sections.

English Language

English Language section again surprised candidates with twisted questions and arduous language. There was no reading comprehension and this was a major shocker for students. This year in this shift there was a cloze test (cloze tests were not seen in CGL Tier I exams in last 2-3 years). Para Jumble was a new introduction in this year’s exam.

Quantitative Aptitude

Quant in CGL 2017 exam was of moderate level. Questions from Tabular DI were asked and there were 6 questions of SI & CI and Profit and Loss. There were 2-3 from trigonometry. And 2-3 questions were from Algebra

General Awareness

In SSC CGL Tier-1 Exam 2017, General Awareness questions were asked from all aspects of GA. Maximum questions were from History (5-6), Polity (5-6) and Science (7-8 questions). The level was easy-moderate.
