Success Story of Geetanjali selected as PO in Bank Of India and as Clerk in Punjab National Bank

Hello Everyone,

I am Geetanjali, I am from Delhi, I have been selected as IBPS PO in Bank Of India and as Clerk in Punjab National Bank. I have done B.Com in graduation and M.com in post-graduation.

In 2016, while doing a part-time Pvt job as an office coordinator I thought to prepare for government job specifically wanted to become a banker. In 2016 I appeared in IBPS PO and clerk but only able to crack the preliminary exam of PO. I also filled other insurance examinations but didn’t able to crack.

In 2017, I decided to leave my job. After leaving I continued my preparation this time I cracked pre of clerk but not mains and pre and mains of IBPS PO but did not able to get my name in the final list because I got moderate marks in mains and very fewer marks in the interview because of hesitation.

In 2018, I started again this year I failed in IBPS PO mains & other exams and failed in the final list of clerks also by 2.5 marks.

In 2019, As I said before I wanted to become a banker I wanted to get a govt job. So I continued my preparation and this time with more determination because my papa was not happy to give me more time due to increasing age I requested him to give me last chance again and I worked hard, this year I gave FCI, ESIC, EPFO, CWC, LIC, etc, cleared almost all the pre but missed mains by a minor margin. Missed RRB PO final list only by 0.25 marks, I am in reserve list and because of some reason did not able to appear in RRB clerk mains. And finally, after all these challenges I got my golden time I cleared IBPS PO and clerk both. In the interview, I got 81% marks.

So friends, from my experience I would like to tell you all if you want to get your dream job first of all just believe in yourself that u can do it and find your weaknesses work on it with full determination, clear your concepts from any youtube channel whichever you find easier.

In clearing my concepts adda247 helped me a lot. Lakshay batch of Sumit sir had cleared my all concepts of quant. The test series of Adda247 are awesome they provide answers along with video solution that is a great thing I liked and monthly pdf of general awareness that contained all d imp news of d month, it’s amazing.

Mistakes I did during my preparation:-

Firstly I prepared for prelims and after got results started preparation for mains, never do this, from the first day of preparation start to think about the overall scenario. And never forget about general awareness this is a crucial part that helps to get good marks. Give mock tests with seriousness as we give in real exam center and don’t forget to analyze, analysis is more important than giving the mock test. There is no benefit of giving mock if you haven’t analyzed it.

My strategy that helped in clearing concepts and increased my speed:-

  • Daily Adda247 quizzes and analysis of them+
  • 5 puzzles 5 DI of moderate or mains level+
  • 1 daily mock of pre and 1 mains mock in a -week with proper analysis+
  • Daily ca
  • Daily editorial consistently

Message to students

Just clear your concepts, maintain your consistency don’t study to get succeed only study to learn, daily before sleeping ask yourself what you learned today, ask yourself do you deserve? you will get an answer from yourself.

Wo dialogue hai na 3 idiots ka bahot sahi h kabil bano kamyabi jhakh mar ke pichhe aaegi, exams kese clear honge apko pata bhi nhi chalega.

All the Best Guys!

Thank you!
