Yes! we are talking about none other than the lady who surely is a goddess for many people around the world, Minal Dakhave Bhosale. She has delivered India’s first COVID-19 testing kit which can test for the virus in less than two and a half hours.

Minal Dakhave Bhosale Achievement

Minal Dakhave Bhosale is an Indian Scientist who was working as the research and development chief of the Pune-based company My labs. She created history by creating the first Indian COVID-19 test kit. This kit was able to shorten the test time to 2.5 hours with the PathoDetect as against the prevalent 6-8 hours because its team has created a solution that does both the screening and confirmation jobs simultaneously. After submitting the Test kit, she had also given birth to a baby girl.

Minal Dakhave Bhosale’s efforts are appreciated all over the world. BBC had telecasted a story based on her achievement named ‘Coronavirus: The woman behind India’s first testing kit’, on the research and development chief of the Pune-based company. Anand Mahindra lauded Bhosale’s efforts. Quoting the news of the virologist, the Mahindra Group Chairman wrote, “You also delivered a ray of hope to the country”. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairperson, and MD of Biocon, also praised the woman behind India’s first testing kit. In her tweet, she wrote, Bhosale ‘makes us all so proud to see women leading the way and we cannot agree more with the two leading business tycoons.
