IBPS Recruitment 2020: 

IBPS is recruiting a number of aspirants from last 8 years. I.e From 2011. IBPS conducts various exams for different post to fill the vacant position in the public sector banks. As of now, it is known to recruit the aspirants for the post of IBPS SO, IBPS PO, IBPS Clerk, IBPS RRB PO, and IBPS RRB Clerk. The vacancy for the following posts is as under.

Eligibility criteria: IBPS 2020 Exams:

IBPS SO Graduation Degree in the concerned field for the different post: refer to the official notification for the year 2018

Graduation Degree from the recognized university.
IBPS Clerk A person must possess a graduation degree or equivalent from the recognized university
IBPS RRB PO Degree of graduation is must to apply for the post.
IBPS RRB Clerk A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
Note: Eligibility is subject to the official notification released for the year 2018-2019. If there is any change in the present criteria, it will be updated after the release of IBPS notification.

IBPS  released a total of 2031 vacancies for IBPS PO 2020. It gives a tough competition to the aspirants due to the less number of vacancies. IBPS PO job is considered to be the most reputed job in India. Due to the increasing competition, cut off for the post is also increasing by every passing year.

IBPS has not released vacancy for the post of IBPS Clerk. Below mentioned vacancies are for the year 2020-2021.

IBPS released a total of 12075 vacancies for IBPS Clerk for the year 2020-21. Cut off for the IBPS Clerk generally set high by the IBPS because of the number of applications registered to lead to rising in competition level. The exam is held state-wise and the cut off for every state may vary from each other as decided by the banks.

What is the eligibility criteria for the IBPS Exams?


A person should possess a degree of graduation from a recognized university to appear for the IBPS examination. Eligibility criteria for the post of IBPS SO may vary under the different post. Kindly refer to the notification before filling up the application form.




What is the selection procedure under IBPS recruitment?


IBPS conducts exam every year for the different post like IBPS SO/PO/Clerk and IBPS RRB. The exams are conducted in a different phase. Except for exams of clerical cadre, all other exams are a two-tier process followed by a descriptive and interview process.
How the cut off for the various exams decided?


The cut off for the various exams depends on the different factors like the vacancies, difficulty level, students appear for the exam. The cut off is decided by the bank which may vary exam wise.



About IBPS:

IBPS (full form - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) is an autonomous body, constituted by the government of India, which has been given the task of conducting recruitment and promotional exams of various PSU Banks, RBI, NABARD, SBI, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) & General Insurance Companies (GICs). IBPS came into existence in 1984, when the Personnel Staff Selection (PSS) Unit of NIBM was converted into autonomous Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.



IBPS Combined Written Exams (IBPS CWE)

Till 2011, IBPS used conducted independent and different exams for Clerical and Officer level jobs for different PSU Banks. In 2011, the government decided to conduct one single exam for all PSU Banks. Hence, three Major Exams came into existence - IBPS PO (for Probationary Officer Jobs in PSU Banks), IBPS Clerk ( Clerical Jobs in PSU Banks) & IBPS SO (Specialist Officer Jobs in PSU Banks). IBPS RRB, the combined exam for all Regional Rural Bank also followed in coming years. The first combined exam for PSU Banks was conducted in 2011 (called Common Written Examination - CWE).
Keeping in mind its hiring needs and long term vision, the largest PSU Bank of India - State Bank of India (SBI) did not participate in combined exams conducted by IBPS. Hence, every year IBPS conducts the separate exam for SBI (PO, Clerical & Specialist Officer).
