IBPS PO Eligibility 2019 

To appear for the PO Exam in 2019 one should be confined with the eligibility criteria of age and education as it is mandatory to follow the guidelines issued by the IBPS. Avoiding the eligibility criteria of the guidelines may lead to failure of your application and you will not be able to appear for the exam.   1. Nationality Criteria: Before applying to the Exam, the candidate must be through the following eligibility criteria:
  • Citizen of India
  • The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  • Tibetan refugee who is permanently settled in India prior to January 1, 1962
  • Person of Indian origin who has migrated from either Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia with the intention of residing permanently in India.

Note: Candidates belonging to the categories (2,3 and 4) should possess a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India.

  1. Educational Qualification: Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a University recognized by the Govt. Of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government. The candidate must possess a valid Mark-sheet / Degree Certificate that he/ she is a graduate on the day he/she registers and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in Graduation while registering online.
  2. Age Eligibility Criteria:

There are provisions for age relaxation depending upon the category of the candidate.

For General Category, the age required is:

Minimum: 20 years

Maximum: 30 years

IBPS PO JOB PROFILE 2019 – What are the responsibilities of Probationary Officers

A Probationary Officer (PO) serves all the task during his probation period which is of 2 years. His work during the probation period will be drafting cheques, documents to pass the loan. After completing the probation period, they will be posted as assistant manager where they get to implement their knowledge & ideas. Later on, The Bank Assistant Manager work as public relations officer, handle customer complaints and solve various customer related issues such as discrepancies in accounts, the rectification of undue charges and look into complaints regarding services provided by the bank.

IBPS PO Selection Procedure 2019

It is a three-tier process. It consists of three exams like:

  • Preliminary exam
  • Main exam (Objective + Descriptive)
  • Interview process

Candidates have to clear all the rounds to be posted in the bank as a PO. His final selection will be solely based on the final merit (marks obtained in the Main Exam and the interview round) list declared by the IBPS. As the preliminary exam is qualifying in nature.

IBPS PO Salary and Growth 

According to official notification the pay scale of Bank Probationary Officer is 23700 – 980/7 – 30560 – 1145/2 – 32850 – 1310/7 – 42020 including Dearness Allowance, HRA, CCA, Medical Aid, Leave Fare Concession, etc. and Perquisites like Conveyance, Furniture, etc., depending on the place of posting shall be paid as per rules. IBPS PO Vacancies

IBPS is going to recruit around 4336 candidates for the post of probationary officer. Candidates will have to undergo three processes to be posted as PO in the Public sector bank. Vacancies have increased as compared to last year. last year a total of 4105 vacancies were introduced now the number has increased to 4336.

IBPS PO Exam Pattern 2019

The examination for IBPS Recruitment process is carried out in three phases i.e. Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Personal Interview. Following is the expected IBPS exam pattern PO 2019 if there is no change in the pattern this year and it remains the same as last year’s:

Phase – II: IBPS PO Main Examination 2019

Main Examination consists of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 25 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests were conducted online.

  1. Objective Test: The objective test of 3 hours duration consists of 4 Sections for total 200 marks. The objective test has separate timing for every section. The candidates are required to qualify in each of the Tests by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank.
  1. Descriptive Test: The Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration with 25 marks is a Test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay).

Important Note – Marks obtained by the candidates in the Main examination will be considered for shortlisting for Interview and preparation of final merit list.

Note: There will be a negative marking for every wrong answer in both Preliminary and Main Examination for which there is a penalty of ¼ or 0.25 of the marks assigned to the particular question.

Phase – IIIIBPS PO Interview

The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The qualifying marks in the interview are 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of CWE (Main exam) and interview for final merit list will be 80:20 respectively.
