IBPS PO INTERVIEW TIPS 2021

Interbanking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has conducted both phases i.e. Preliminary examination on 3rd, 10th, 11th October, 5th and 6th January, and Mains examination on 4th February 2021 successfully. First of all congratulations to all those candidates who have cleared their mains examination with their hard work and dedication towards their goals. Now, you are one step away from your dream. The Interview phase is to be conducted on 13th March 2021. Interview call letters now can be downloaded from 25th February till 13th March. But it is advised to print your call letter before the last date to avoid rush. Interview is the most challenging and important phase to get selected in any organization. So it is very important to present yourself properly in an interview. So here are some tips for IBPS PO Interview 2021:

Preparation to be followed before appearing in the Interview:

Before appearing in an Interview, everyone must have a strategic plan to present himself/herself in an effective manner and should have all the documents ready.

So, let’s start with the tips to be followed before appearing in the Interview:

1. Have knowledge about the banks – The very first step is to have research about the banks which you have mentioned in your preferences. So that if any question is asked, you can give your reason to choose that particular bank. You must know the headquarters of all the nationalized banks in India along with the tag lines.

2. Banking Awareness – You should know all the banking terms like Repo Rate, Reverse Repo Rate, Inflation, Retail Banking, Bitcoin, Non-Performing Assets etc, and have a strong banking awareness.

3. Prepare General Awareness and Current Affairs – General awareness and current affairs are also important to be acknowledged because you never know what will be asked by the interview panel. General awareness and current affairs about international and national events, sports events, etc. held in at least the past 6 months should be prepared.

4. Give Mock Interviews – Give as many mock interviews as possible. It will boost your confidence to face the interview panel.

  • Keep practicing the right gesture and posture.
  • Every interviewer has a different mindset so give more mock interviews so that you can know the variations in the interviewer.

5. Have Complete knowledge about your background – Background knowledge means where do you belong from, your regional language, culture, dressing sense, etc. because every state and city has its uniqueness and the interviewer can ask anything from where the candidate belongs to. For example, if any candidate belongs to Uttarakhand, he/she must know his/her culture, language, food, etc. and if the candidate is unable to answer such questions, it can be disappointing.

6. Evaluate your Resume – Present your resume is a very important part of the interview. The resume shows the personality and gives a brief judgment about the candidate. So, firstly prepare your resume very wisely, and secondly evaluate your resume properly. Evaluation of resume is required because the interviewer asks questions from the resume so your answers should match with your resume otherwise it will give a negative impact.

During The Interview:

After having all the preparations before the interview, many more important things to remember on the day of the interview to raise your personality in front of the interviewers.

So, let’s start with the tips to follow during the Interview:

1. Dress up yourself properly – First impression during the interview is your appearance. Dressing for success is the best way to appear both confident and professional. Dressing is the most important part of the interview because it reflects your personality. Wear formal for the interview because it will give you a professional look.

  • For Males – A shirt and Trousers with Tie (optional) will be the best way to present yourself.
  • For Females –  A female can go with a shirt and trousers but if anyone is not comfortable with that you can go with a simple cotton suit also.

Footwear should be formal and females should avoid heals.

2. Be Punctual – Reach your center before the given time so that you can relax and avoid rush into the last minute.

3. Be organized – Here ‘be organized’ means that do not carry too much like stoles, mufflers, different files. It will reflect that you are a very unorganized person. So just dress simple and carry one folder that contains all your important documents.

4. Be Confident – Confidence in your personality shows by your gestures and movements and your facial expressions. Do not show that you are nervous.

5. Do not be Oversmart – Have confidence does not mean that you have to be over smart. Oversmartness will just give a negative marking.

6. Do not smile too much – To show that you are confident, do not smile too much. Just a little smile is enough.

7. Keep your arms and legs uncrossed – Posture of your arms and legs is very important. Do not sit with your crossed arms and legs. Just be straight (not too much) with confidence.

8. Do not touch your hair and face – Touching your hair and face will show that you are nervous and they will surely notice it. So just keep your hands on your knees and do not move unnecessarily.

9. Just Be Yourself – Lastly, the most important tip is that ‘Just Be Yourself’. Do not try to copy another person. Just show your personality, your views, and thoughts.

All the best aspirants. You have made this journey so far, just one step more and your dream job is just there. Keep practicing with Adda247.
