Success Story of Aakanksha Jindal Selected as IBPS PO Union Bank of India

Hello Future Bankers,

I am Aakanksha Jindal, I am from Punjab. I have cleared both IBPS PO and IBPS Clerk in the very first attempt. I completed B.Com in 2019 and started preparing for Banking exams immediately after my graduation. I always wanted to be in a government job. 

Initially, when I started preparing I had difficulty finding out the study material, mocks but then I found Adda247. Adda247 is a complete package in itself as you can find everything in one single app. During initial phases when I started attempting mocks I used to get only 30-40 marks. It took a long time for me to cross 40. I used to think at that time if I’ll be ever able to clear these exams. But hard work, consistency, patience is everything it takes to clear these exams. 

I appeared for EPFO, LIC, FCI but I could not even clear their prelims. IBPS PO pre was the first exam in which I cleared the prelims exam.

My strategy for different subjects:

Quantitative aptitude: I dreaded this subject, But Adda247 youtube videos made it quite simple. Also, I regularly attempted quizzes and downloaded pdfs for all topics.

Reasoning: For Reasoning also I gave mocks, sectional quizzes.

English: Reading is the best way to improve English. And while attempting any test or quiz concentration is what matters the most.

General Awareness: Ashish Sir’s youtube videos, Piyush Sir’s Videos, Monthly capsules, Power Capsules, The Hindu quiz on Adda app.

My strategy during any upcoming exam was to attempt as many mocks as I could. For me, Mock tests are the key to success. At least one mock every day before the mains exam will make you realize where do

you stand and how ahead are your competitors than you. Not only attempting the mock test is important but analyzing them is the most important. Every day after giving mock find out which questions are wrong and which questions you did not attempt. Then analyze which questions could be done before and check for all the mistakes. And apply them in your next mocks. So in this way, you will automatically remember them during the exam. Also, revise gk daily because gk is a game-changer.

Remember you should not be master in everything for clearing these exams. It’s ok if you don’t know some topic and if you are weak in some subjects. Just focus more on your strengths and try to improve

weaknesses. Intelligent choosing of questions is also something that most aspirants lack. 

Do only those questions which you are sure of and attempt easy questions first. Keep yourself motivated. Don’t let any kind of negativity hover around you. And most importantly believe yourself that you can do it.
