                  Success Story Of Abhishek Kumar

Hey, I am Abhishek from Jehanabad, Bihar. I got selected in clerical cadre in Punjab National Bank. Here is my success story:

In 2017, nearly four years ago, I started preparing for competitive exams mainly SSC and Railway. I had the confidence in me that I can clear exams in less than a year or two. But with high competition level and high cutoffs, I didn’t able to make the merit list for the number of occasions. When I completed my degree in Maths Honours in 2019, I decided to prepare and compete in Banking examinations. I noticed that I have been doing well in English section and if I work hard in Reasoning and GA, I can clear these examinations. Here is a list of Banking exams I competed in:

1)       SBI Clerk 2019:- Pre: Cleared, Mains: Missed the cutoff by nearly 35 marks. It was my first attempt. So, I was pretty happy.

2)      IBPS Clerk 2019:- Pre: Cleared, Mains: Cleared the overall cutoff but missed the Reasoning Sectional Cutoff by 2 marks. I was a little sad but got to know things I have to work on.

3)      SBI Clerk 2020: Pre: Cleared, Mains: Fell short by 6.25 marks. It was actually a decent improvement from my previous SBI Clerk Mains exam.

4)      IBPS Clerk 2020: Pre: Cleared, Mains: CLEARED.

When I saw my result, I was speechless. I had that feeling which many can relate to, that feeling when your hard work finally pays off, that moment when you know you’re not a sad story. You want it, you work on it and you get it. That’s my story.

EXAM TIPS: I know everyone has their own way of learning. Different things work for different people. What worked for me is that I used to make daily current affairs notes from Ashish Sir’s videos. I used to practice puzzles time to time. Gave a lot of mock tests. And always had that confidence in me that I can do it and I DID IT!
