Success Story of Nikki Tyagi Selected as IBPS Clerk in Central Bank of India

Hello Everyone,

I am Nikki Tyagi, selected as a clerk in Central Bank Of India from UP. It’s all because of my parents who motivated me every time I failed, God who made me a reason for their happiness and my elder sister who gave me the necessary guidance.

I started my preparation in May 2017, after my graduation in B.Tech. During these 3 years, I gave 13 prelims and 7 mains, but 6 times I failed by a small margin.

In 2017:- 

• IBPS PO(missed the sectional cutoff in prelims)

• IBPS SO(could not clear the overall cutoff in prelims)

In 2018:-

• SBI PO(could not clear the prelims by 7 marks)

• SBI Clerk(missed the overall cutoff in mains by 30 marks)

• IBPS PO(missed the cutoff in mains by 15 marks)

• IBPS CLERK(missed the mains by 5 marks)

• IBPS SO(could not clear the prelims by 1.5 marks)

In 2019:- 

• SBI PO(could not clear the prelims by 5 marks)

• SBI CLERK(missed the mains cutoff by 10 marks)

• RBI ASSISTANT(missed the prelims by 1.25 marks)

• LIC ASSISTANT(missed the mains by 5 marks)

• IBPS PO(missed the sectional cutoff by 1.5 marks in mains)

• IBPS CLERK(got selected with 48.88 scores in UNRESERVED CATEGORY)

My Strategy:- 

• Quant: I cleared my basic concepts and gave mock tests.
• General Awareness: I read “The Hindu” monthly pdfs and take quizzes daily.
• English: I did not prepare for this as I am an avid reader and this habit of mine helped me during the exams.
• Reasoning: I gave quizzes from Bankersadda and gave mock tests.

During the whole period, “I can do it” was the only thing that kept me working for it.
