UPSC EPFO Eligibility Criteria

Nationality Criteria

UPSC EPFO Salary

The salary for both posts is structured under the 7th Central Pay Commission. Candidates selected for the EO/AO post will receive a monthly salary as per Pay Level 08, which ranges between ₹47,600 to ₹1,51,100. Meanwhile, candidates appointed as APFC will be placed under Pay Level 10, offering a pay scale of ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500. In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will also receive allowances such as DA, HRA, transport allowance, and other government benefits.

EPFO Selection Process

Although the exact exam pattern will be detailed in the full notification, the selection for both EO/AO and APFC posts is expected to follow the previous structure:

• Written Test (Recruitment Test – RT)
• Interview Round

Candidates who qualify in the RT will be shortlisted for the interview. The final merit list will be prepared based on combined scores from both stages.

The UPSC EPFO Exam Pattern consists of a Recruitment Test and an Interview. The written test carries 300 marks and is held for 2 hours, accounting for 75% of the total weightage. The interview carries 100 marks and holds the remaining 25% weightage in the final selection.

UPSC APFC Exam Pattern

The UPSC EPFO APFC Exam 2025 consists of one paper divided into two sections. Section A tests General English, while Section B covers a wide range of topics such as Indian culture, current affairs, governance, economy, labor laws, computer basics, mathematics, and social security. The paper is of 300 marks with a total duration of 2 hours.
