Sol. Russia has decided to name its first registered COVID-19 vaccine as ‘Sputnik V’ after the world’s first satellite.
Sol. Russian Ministry of Health has given regulatory approval for what it claims is the world’s first Covid-19 vaccine, developed by Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology.
Sol. The production of the Sputnik V in Russia is financed by Russia Development Investment Fund or RDIF (Russia’s sovereign wealth fund) on the basis of production capacities of its portfolio companies, R-Pharm and Binnopharm.
