Q1. Prabhat has two varieties of rice. He mixes 6.5 kg of first type with 7.5 kg of second type and sells the mixture at Rs. 30 per kg to get profit of 20%. If cost price of first type rice is Rs. 20 per kg, then what is the cost price of second type rice ?
Q2. There is a certain mixture of diesel and Kerosene in which diesel and kerosene are in the ratio of 7 : 11. If 10 li diesel is added to the mixture, ratio of kerosene to diesel becomes 22 : 15. Find initial quantity of mixture.

Q7. 5 litres of water is added to a certain quantity of pure milk costing Rs 3 per liters. If by selling the mixture at the same price as before, a profit of 20% is made, then what is the amount of pure milk in the mixture?
Q8.Two mixtures A and B have alcohol and water in the ratio of 3 : 5 and 4 : 5 respectively. If 24 litre of mixture A was mixed with 36 litre of mixture B then find the ratio of alcohol to water in resultant mixture.
Q9. Eight litres are drawn off from a vessel full of water and substituted by pure milk. Again, eight litres of the mixture are drawn off and substituted by pure milk. If the vessel now contains water and milk in the ratio 9 : 40, find the capacity of the vessel.
Q10. In a vessel a mixture contains milk, water and spirit in the ratio 4 : 5 : 3 respectively. In an another vessel a mixture contains water and spirit in the ratio 7 : 3. If 4 litre mixture from first vessel is mixed with 5 litre mixture from second vessel. Find the part of spirit in the new mixture?
