There can be a number of reasons that can be associated with this spike of positive cases suddenly and one of them can be the ending up of the lockdown. Though there are certain restrictions still imposed in some of the parts of the country,  public has taken it to be the end of lockdown and many cities such as Delhi and Kolkata are again experiencing the same crowd on the streets as it used to be earlier.

Also, it has been noticed that during the transfer of the migrants from one state to another, the testing method shows about 3% of the migrants to have been tested positive. This can be also the weak testing system that may have been taken out irresponsibly that as resulted in the spread of the virus through the migrants also.

The cyclone Amphan and the cyclone Nisarga is another big factor that has aided in the spread of the virus. The cyclones have devastated the states of West Bengal and Maharashtra and this has forced many of the people to quit social distancing.

News from WHO

As per the latest news, Ajay Kumar, the Defense Secretary of India has also been tested positive of COVID 19. He experienced mild fever after which he took the test that came up to be positive. He is the very first among the top Government officials in the country to have got tested positive with COVID 19. As of now, he is home quarantined.

Not just India, many other nations of the world are hit by the pandemic, the USA being hit in the worst way currently. Having a look at the situation of rising number of patients across the world, the World Health Organization has though of resuming the trial of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) for the treatment of COVID 19 in patients.

Earlier WHO mentioned that it has to stop the trail of HCQ as it will be conducting a safety review first. But now the organization has come up with the news that it will resume the test and trials again.

As of now there are 6,430,705 positive cases of COVID 19 detected across the globe. Of course, a high number of 2,804,982 patients have got recovered, about 3,85,947 patients have also died due to the infection. Different research labs and experts are researching to break through the web and come up with a proper drug or vaccine that can be helpful in controlling the spread. We can just hope that the miracle drug gets introduced soon so that the infection can be controlled from spreading out even more.
