According to the latest reports, a total of 52,946 applications have been registered and this high number of applicants underscores the prestige associated with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and the intense competition for these coveted Grade A positions.

According to RTI-based data, a total of 52,946 applications were submitted for just 91 advertised NABARD Grade A Assistant Manager posts, which means that, on average, nearly 582 candidates will compete for every single vacancy. This exceptionally high ratio underscores the intense competition for NABARD Grade A, making it one of the most challenging regulatory-level banking exams in India this year.
NABARD Grade A Streams and Category Trends
Most applications are concentrated in the Rural Development Banking Service (RDBS) General stream, while specialist streams such as Finance and Chartered Accountancy attracted a smaller, niche pool of candidates. The RDBS stream, open to graduates from multiple disciplines, naturally draws the highest number of aspirants.
Applications Registered for NABARD Grade A 2025
The NABARD Grade A 2025 recruitment has attracted a staggering 52,946 applications across various streams and categories. The highest number of applications came from the RDBS General discipline, with 51,738 candidates registering, reflecting its broad eligibility criteria. Specialist streams such as RDBS – Chartered Accountant and RDBS Finance received comparatively fewer applications, with 285 and 923 candidates respectively.
The data also highlights category-wise participation, including SC, ST, OBC, EWS, UR, and PWBD candidates, providing a clear picture of the diversity and scale of competition for the 91 Assistant Manager vacancies.
