The SBI Clerk Joining Date 2025-26 has now been officially communicated to selected candidates. According to the latest update, candidates who have successfully cleared the recruitment process of SBI for the Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) post have started receiving official emails regarding their joining instructions. As per the communication shared with candidates, they are required to report on 01 April 2026 at their designated reporting locations.

SBI Clerk Joining Date 2025-26 Announced

The SBI Clerk 2025 recruitment notification, released in August 2025, announced a total of 6,589 vacancies, including 5,180 regular vacancies and 1,409 backlog vacancies across different states. The recruitment process included Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, Language Proficiency Test (LPT), Document Verification (DV), and final appointment. With the completion of these stages, the bank has now started sending joining instructions to selected candidates through email.

As per the official email received by selected candidates, the reporting date for joining is 01 April 2026. Candidates are instructed to report to their designated branch or training centre as mentioned in their appointment letter. The email also contains important instructions regarding bank account details, document submission, and app registration that candidates must complete before reporting.

Important Instructions for Selected Candidates

Selected candidates must carefully follow the instructions mentioned in the Offer of Appointment shared by State Bank of India. Some of the key instructions include:

1. Open an SBI Account (If Not Available): Candidates who do not already have an SBI bank account are required to open one at the nearest SBI branch immediately.
2. Register on the YONO App: After opening the account, candidates must register on the YONO App with full access rights.
3. Carry Bank Account Proof on Joining Day: Candidates must bring one cancelled cheque leaf or a photocopy of the front page of their bank passbook on the day of joining (01.04.2026).
4. Complete All Documentation: Candidates should ensure that all required documents and certificates are ready before reporting to the designated location.

Essential Guidelines for Candidates Before Joining

Apart from the general joining guidelines, State Bank of India has also mentioned some important instructions related to reservation certificates, verification, and candidate eligibility. Selected candidates must carefully follow these instructions before reporting for joining.

SC/ST Migration Rule: If an SC/ST candidate has migrated from a state where their community is recognized as scheduled to another state where it is not, they will still continue to be treated as SC/ST for the purpose of this appointment.

OBC Declaration Requirement: Candidates applying under the OBC category must submit a declaration in the prescribed format confirming that they do not belong to the creamy layer as on the last date of registration.

OBC Non-Creamy Layer Certificate: Candidates must produce a valid OBC certificate containing the “Non-Creamy Layer” clause, issued during the period 01 April 2025 to the date of joining, if they are found eligible for appointment.

EWS Certificate Requirement: Candidates claiming reservation under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category must submit an Income and Asset Certificate issued by a competent authority in the format prescribed by the Government of India for the relevant financial year as per DoPT guidelines.

Disclosure of Criminal Cases: After selection but before joining the bank, candidates must disclose details of any criminal case(s) pending against them, if applicable. The bank may also conduct independent verification, including police record verification, and reserves the right to cancel or deny the appointment based on the findings.
