Success Story of Yash Thakur

My journey started with failure in UPSC and I gave RBI half-heartedly with little expectations. But by God’s grace, I was able to clear both Phase 1 & 2. UPSC prep came especially handy for my Phase 2 paper both in terms of knowledge as well as in answer structuring skills. After clearing phase 2, next came the interview stage. As a result was unexpected for me, I was not prepared for the interview stage and I had a lot to prepare. Somehow I managed to brush up on my basics along with developing a grip on the current economics-related news but still, there were gaps in the preparation as they will always be there when it comes to interviews.
Coming to my interview experience, overall it went well although I could not answer some of the basic finance-related questions in the beginning. There was a moment in my interview wherein I was asked a situational-based question and I was able to give a different answer to it, which I think worked in the end.
Thankfully all efforts culminated in a positive outcome and more importantly into something which I had never thought of. After the result, there is a mixed feeling of relief + surprise but as it is said, “sometimes we must go with the flow without thinking too much”.
