National Symbol of India 2021: List of National Identity Element

National Identity Elements: The National Flag is the most important element for any country. But apart from the National Flag, there are also many other elements, in the case of India, that is known as the National Identity Elements.

Rabindranath Tagore composed the song Jana Gana Mana initially in Bengali but in the year 1950, the Constituent Assembly adopted its Hindi version as the National Anthem of India. The whole National Anthem is of 52 seconds and is played on several special occasions.

The National Emblem of the country consists of three lions standing back to back on the abacus that has the wheel or the dharmachakra with a galloping horse and a bull at both its sides. In actuality, the real Lion Capital from which the emblem has been adapted has four lions. But when the emblem is put on a stamp, the fourth lion gets hidden at the back. The lion capital was adapted for the National Emblem of the country on January 26th of the year 1950.

National Bird: Peacock

The Indian blue Peacock is the National Bird of India. It is the male gender of this species that has the beautiful velvety blue neck and feather tail of bronze-green color. It looks immensely beautiful and mesmerizing when it dances with its feathery tail held high up during the rains. The peahen of the female of this special is of brown color and does not have a beautiful tail. The feathers from the tail fall of at times like other birds and these feathers are often used in creating pretty items. 

The National Animal- Tiger

The ferocious yellow and black striped tiger is the National Animal of India. This species is known as the Royal Bengal Tiger and is found in different parts of the country. This National Animal of the country is known for its power, agility, strength, and grace that signify the nature of the country too. Sadly, the count of this magnificent animal is declining, keeping which in mind different Tiger projects have been launched in the country since 1973 to preserve them. There are different national parks and reserves opened today in different parts of the country in the name of this species. 

National Flower: Lotus

The flower is associated with Lord Brahma, the creator of the world, and also with Lord Vishnu who is known as the preserve of the world as per Hindu mythology. Also, as per the same mythologies, the flower is also associated with Devi Lakshmi who is the goddess of wealth. It is a pink-colored flower with several petals and huge leaves and a stem that grows in shallow water and the flow floats above the water.
