Most Asked Topics of English Language in IBPS PO Prelims Exams

The English Language section was similar to the trend and we didn’t see much changes. The maximum number of questions were from Reading Comprehensions and Grammar Section. The level of English language section in 2019 was Easy to Moderate just like in 2018.

This section was also similar to the trend that is observed in banking exam and the section in both the years was dominated by Data Interpretation and Arithmetic questions. Topics like Simplification, quadratic equations were also there.

As we can see that in Shift 1 of 12th October 2019, Data interpretation dominated the section with 15 questions while in Shift-1 of 13rd October 2018, there were only 11 questions and they were of moderate level. This section again was in accordance with the trend of the Bank exam reasoning section where majority of the questions were from Puzzles and Seating Arrangement in both the years, that makes it an extremely important topic and there is no way you can give it a cold shoulder. The level of this section was Easy to Moderate in both the years.
