BOI SO Security Deposit 2026

BOI SO 2026 Selection Process

The selection process for Specialist Officer posts will consist of an Online Examination and/or Personal Interview, depending on the post and recruitment requirements.

Online Exam

The online examination will have a composite duration of 100 minutes and will consist of the following sections:

• English Language: 25 Qualifying
• Professional Knowledge: 100 Merit-based

The marks obtained in the English Language section will not be counted for the final merit list.

Candidates need to secure the prescribed minimum qualifying marks in the online examination. The minimum qualifying requirement is 35% for General/EWS candidates and 30% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates.

There will also be a negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question for every incorrect answer.

BOI SO Interview 2026

Candidates shortlisted for the interview will be assessed out of 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks are 50% for General/EWS candidates and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates. The final selection will be based on the combined performance in the online examination and interview, with a 60:40 weightage assigned to the online test and interview, respectively.
